Horrific Nectie Unleashes Spirits
HORRIFIC NECTIE - "Bratan", now is the time! HORRIFIC NECTIE - Oh... you will see. (It feels like this rubbing itself against your chest like a cat in heat.) First, the spirits -- the underestimated spirits. Grab the bottle and uncork it! It is time to unleash the other world.
A bearded man in a suit performs an increasingly bizarre ritual with a decorated bottle and a necktie, while game-like subtitles narrate the summoning of spirits. He moves through a bathroom, bar, outdoor ruins, and a waterfront, ending with an orbiting diagram over his head. The absurd pseudo-occult presentation turns an ordinary drinking scene into a surreal reaction video, accompanied by Surf Curse’s melancholic indie-rock song “Freaks,” whose dreamy mood makes the joke feel dramatic and strangely sincere.
