Caterpillars Don’t Know Anything
this song is not a met RESPECTABLE? BDG’S BEES SPECIAL THANKS TO MY TOP PATRONS (LINK IN DESCRIPTION)
A bespectacled man in a striped shirt sings an earnest, whimsical song about caterpillars eating leaves, growing, and eventually metamorphosing. The video uses surreal garden imagery, an animated caterpillar, fruit, and swarms of bees, ending with a bizarre “BDG’S BEES” sign and a smiling moon. The punchline is that the song insists caterpillars are not a metaphor, then humorously judges them as unrespectable because they cannot do human tasks like long division or pay with a check.
I've been thinking about caterpillars and the things they don't know All they do is eat on leaves and then they gradually grow When they pop out of their eggs, do they have any clue? What their life will have in store for them and what they will do? They don't know where they're headed, they don't know where they're from And they have absolutely no idea what they will become These little wormies metamorphosize into something more But I wanna make it clear this song is not a metaphor I just think caterpillars don't know what's going on I don't know why we respect something that can't you long division right petitions or pay with a check I'd like to see a caterpillar do that
