Learning World News Through Memes
Me learning what’s going on in the world through memes because I don’t watch the news
Gandalf sits in a dim, candlelit study surrounded by books, examining a crystal ball and papers as the clip slowly reveals his scholarly setup. The caption jokes that someone who never watches the news learns about world events through memes instead, presented with the solemn seriousness of a wizard uncovering hidden knowledge. Howard Shore’s “Keep It Secret, Keep It Safe” adds an ominous, grand fantasy mood that makes the mundane meme-based news consumption feel absurdly epic.
