Backrooms Original Horror Idea
If you're not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, and the endless background noise of fluorescent lights, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you. the ORIGINAL horror idea was the rooms / loneliness but people kept adding monsters so now there’s a Monster in the movie
The image shows a Backrooms description heavily marked up with red scribbles, alongside a comment arguing that the original horror came from empty rooms and loneliness rather than monsters. The joke criticizes how adaptations added a literal monster and weakened the unsettling concept.
