My colleague here was pretty adamant that a better use of class time might be to learn while accomplishing something. Now take one, pass it all the way down. We're supposed to scrape the internet for thousands of food images? Yeah, so you'll find like five or thirty thousand pictures of your food and then put them in a folder with that food's name on it. And it's good if you get like weird angles or lighting of your food, so it should be pretty fun. So we're gathering training data to run through a convolutional neural net. Like an image classifier? Who wants broccoli? Broccolini for the ladies, broccoli.
