C Programmer Integer Argument
PLEASE I BEG YOU LET ME PROGRAM IN PEACE THE 2 TYPES ARE IDENTICAL NNOOOOOOO!!!! EXPECTED A SUPER SHORT MEGA SIGNED NUMBER INT AND YOU PROVIDED A CHAR!!! I WILL USE THIS CHAR TO STORE INTEGER DATA TO OPTIMIZE MY MEMORY USAGE, I WILL ALSO PARSE IT WHERE AN INT IS EXPECTED YES.
A four-panel Wojak comic contrasts a pleading programmer asking to work peacefully because two types are identical with a distressed programmer reacting to a short signed integer being provided as a char. The final Chad-like programmer confidently says he will store integer data in a char to optimize memory and parse it where an int is expected, ending with “YES.” It is used as a reaction to overcomplicated C programming tricks and technically questionable optimizations.
