Excuse Me, Be Back

EXCUSE BACK BE

A young man walks along a canal path while a person follows him with a wireless microphone. The captions appear as “EXCUSE,” “BACK,” and “BE,” creating a deliberately awkward, incomplete phrase as he gives a suspicious look, smiles, and then walks away. Gigi D'Agostino’s upbeat eurodance song “L'amour Toujours” makes the strange encounter feel like an absurd, overdramatic reaction meme.
