Uber Driver Quiz Goes Too Far
Have you ever seen this in your Uber? How many Uber trips has your driver Wallace taken? 1,277 789 586 2937 Return Wallace to his Family Great! Now use the Gauze I love driving my car!
A passenger films an Uber driver while the car’s entertainment screen turns the ride into a bizarre quiz game about Wallace. After asking how many trips Wallace has taken, the game shows a “Return Wallace to his Family” puzzle and then instructs the player to use gauze on him, making the driver’s ordinary confidence—“I love driving my car!”—absurdly ominous. The clip is set to The Weeknd, Bad Bunny and Travis Scott’s “K-POP (Mixed),” whose energetic, stylish mood heightens the surreal joke and makes it work as a reaction to an unsettlingly strange situation.
