Disney Characters and Proboscis Monkeys
have you ever thought about how the sexual dimorphism of modern disney characters has perfectly paralleled the sexual dimorphism of the proboscis monkey. i cannot stop thinking about it.
A comparison grid pairs a stylized male Disney character and Elsa with male and female proboscis monkeys. The joke is that Disney’s exaggerated differences between male and female character designs resemble the monkeys’ naturally extreme sexual dimorphism. It is used as an absurd reaction to an oddly specific observation that cannot be forgotten.
