Changing Family's Views on Communism
How do I changes my family's views on communism. Unmoderated So my family was born in Poland (moved to US in 1994) and lived under Stalin, and no doubt about it they were poor. Although I understand that communism is better than capitalism and I believe it is superior. How can I explain to my family and convince them that capitalism is exploitative and we need a better system. I have tried using facts to change them but they all say “we had nothing under communism now we have everything”.
A screenshot of a Reddit post from an “Unmoderated” community asks how to convince a family from Poland, who lived under Stalin and later moved to the United States, that communism is superior to capitalism. The punchline is the family’s blunt reply that they had nothing under communism and now have everything, making the poster’s ideological argument look detached from their lived experience.
