EN: The clip begins in a classroom, where a student dramatically takes off his hoodie, before cutting to an image of Bashar al-Assad in front of the Syrian flag with the phrase “Guardians of the homeland, peace be upon you.” The joke presents an ordinary student’s gesture as a sudden transformation into an authoritarian political figure, while the dramatic satirical music heightens the exaggeration and makes the clip useful as a reaction to someone acting overly confident or loyal.
