Just Add Another Swap File
Why buy more RAM when you can just add another swap file? My SQL query has been running for over 80 hours and I am not letting the OOM killer reap it after all this time.
A terminal system monitor shows a computer overloaded by a long-running SQL query, with multiple swap files being used instead of adding RAM. The joke is that the narrator is stubbornly keeping the query alive after 80 hours, treating swap space as an absurd substitute for memory and refusing to let the out-of-memory killer terminate it. People send this as a reaction to excessive perseverance, bad optimization, or refusing to abandon a doomed process.
