Cat Has Been to War

this is sad because you can tell he's been to war 😔

A small fluffy cat watches a green toy soldier crawl across a pink bed, followed by a dramatic close-up of a battle-worn cat in a helmet against a war-torn background. The joke pretends that the toy soldier has suffered through war, then reveals an intensely grim “veteran cat” image as the punchline. Foo Fighters’ alternative-rock song “Everlong” adds melodramatic, emotional energy, making the absurd scene feel like a tragic war flashback and heightening the reaction-meme effect.
