A parody of an Intel advertisement shows beaver-like characters celebrating a longer pipeline and introducing the Pentium 4 Prescott with “Hyperbipeline” technology. The final panel shows a house engulfed in flames, implying that the absurdly long pipeline made the processor disastrously hot. It is used as a reaction to overengineering, excessive complexity, or a technically impressive idea that fails catastrophically.
