The Past and the Present
The past Life may be hard, but I’m doing my best. I’ll try to make the world a better place for my descendants The present My ancestors were stupid and evil
A two-panel meme contrasts an optimistic ancestor working hard to make the world better for his descendants with a present-day descendant who condemns her ancestors as stupid and evil. The joke mocks generational guilt and the tendency to judge the past by modern moral standards.
