My Life in Japan: One Long Day
POV My life in Japan 6:40 AM Wake up 8:00 AM Apologize to my boss 13:45 PM Lunch 8:35 PM Kanpai 9:30 PM Full 10:30 PM Karaoke 01:00 AM Sleep 何年も 遠く遠く いつの日か また誰かになるんだ
A Japanese salaryman is shown stumbling through an entire day: waking up outside with a drink, apologizing to his boss, having an energy drink for lunch, drinking at an izakaya, eating until completely full, singing karaoke, and finally falling asleep outside at 1 AM. The joke exaggerates the exhausting but alcohol-fuelled routine of life in Japan, with the upbeat city-pop song “Fantasy” by Meiko Nakahara making the chaotic workday and nightlife montage feel comically glamorous and energetic.
