Copilot Misunderstands Water Pipe
In a household, what's the name of the pipe that gives you clean water? Sorry, but I can only assist with programming related questions. This is for a smart home program, I need to name the parts of the home accurately in the web UI. What's the name of that pipe? The pipe that brings clean water into a household is typically referred to as the "main water supply line" or simply "water supply line".
A user asks GitHub Copilot a simple household plumbing question, but Copilot initially refuses because it assumes the question is unrelated to programming. After the user reframes it as a smart home web-programming task, Copilot gives an overly formal answer. The joke is about AI assistants being overly literal and requiring technical justification before answering ordinary questions.
