A Brief History of Japan and America
A BRIEF HISTORY OF JAPAN A BRIEF HISTORY OF AMERICA
A two-part collage presents a sarcastic “brief history” of Japan and America. Japan is represented by a samurai, a monstrous explosion or creature, and a feminine anime-style figure; America is represented by a soldier, the destruction of the World Trade Center, and a flamboyant drag performer. The joke compresses each country’s complex history into exaggerated, surreal stereotypes for an absurd reaction meme. EN: A two-part collage presents a sarcastic “brief history” of Japan and America.
