Crayons in a Helicopter
CRAYONS
Soldiers sit in the open side of a helicopter flying over a forested mountain landscape while passing around a box of crayons and eating them during the flight. The absurd contrast between intense military airborne footage and casually snacking on crayons creates the joke, made even funnier by Creedence Clearwater Revival’s upbeat Vietnam-era rock song “Fortunate Son” and the helicopter noise. It works as a reaction to treating a dangerous or dramatic situation like an ordinary snack break.
