Romeo and Juliet 1996 Romeo and Juliet 2024

What it means

A fast-paced video contrasts Romeo and Juliet in 1996 with a series of increasingly unexpected 2024 pairings and characters, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, Spider-Man, Mark Henry, and an interracial couple. The joke comes from treating wildly mismatched or absurd modern images as the new Romeo and Juliet, with the energetic music “Chasing Shadows” by Antoine Pete heightening the comedic escalation.
