People Who Read and Write
People who read People who write
The meme contrasts people who read, shown as composed and attractive, with people who write, shown as exhausted and surrounded by bottles, blood, and a cigarette. The joke is that writing is portrayed as a miserable, self-destructive activity compared with the calm pleasure of reading. It is used as a reaction to the hardships of creative writing or overdramatic literary suffering.
