New Year New Me Gene Simmons
“It’s a new year, new me” Me On January 1st:
A rapid-cut video shows Gene Simmons of KISS in dramatic face paint, performing and moving intensely in front of a crowd. The captions promise a “new me” for the new year, but the exaggerated heavy-metal persona suggests that January 1st changes nothing. Pantera’s “Floods” adds a dark, intense metal soundtrack that makes the reaction feel theatrically overdramatic and funny.
