A gravestone commemorates Ellen Shannon, who died after being fatally burned by an exploding lamp filled with R.E. Danforth's supposedly non-explosive burning fluid. The joke is the painfully ironic contradiction between the product claim and the manner of her death, making it useful as a reaction to ironic failure or false reassurance.
