Notification Was Her Texting Back
Me thinking the notification was her texting me back: The unemployed mate who sends me memes all day:
The clip shows Cristiano Ronaldo in a dark suit walking through a luxurious house and then staring seriously into the camera. The captions contrast the hopeful expectation that a notification is from a romantic interest with the reality that it is an unemployed friend sending memes all day. Kanye West’s “I Wonder,” a moody hip-hop track, makes the joke feel dramatically over-serious and turns the friend’s endless meme messages into an epic, melancholic moment.
