Morty Smith from Rick and Morty looks tense and confused while explaining that he followed the backlog guides after misunderstanding which task his boss expected him to do. The joke captures the awkward moment of trying to justify a work mistake with overly literal reliance on written instructions, making it suitable as a reaction to workplace confusion or blame.
