Premature Optimization Pigeon
HOW DO I WRITE (THIS CODE WELL IN THE FIRST PLACE? SO I DON'T HAVE TO CHANGE IT LAT... PREMATURE OPTIMIZATION IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL
A four-panel comic shows a small pigeon considering how to write code correctly from the start, followed by the phrase “Premature optimization is the root of all evil.” A crow appears in the third panel as the pigeon looks on, and the final close-up emphasizes the bird’s serious expression. The meme jokes about overthinking code quality and optimizing too early instead of simply making the program work.
