When He Remembers the Pen
when the school shooter finds you, but remember that time you let him borrow your pen:
A fast montage of Team Fortress 2 mercenaries confronts the viewer under the caption about a school shooter remembering that you once lent him a pen. The absurdly mundane favor supposedly saves the victim, turning a frightening situation into dark, surreal anti-humor. Valve Studio Orchestra’s “The Calm” adds calm orchestral music, making the violent-looking montage even more incongruously funny; a shattering sound punctuates the chaos.
