Lemon Piglet for Good Luck
Lemon Piglet (11) For good luck in the New Year, a lemon piglet is a must! Insert four toothpicks into a lemon for legs. Slit pointed end for mouth to hold shiny penny, and two cuts for the ears. Eyes are cloves. Crush and curl foil for silly tail.
A lemon is turned into a tiny piglet using toothpicks for legs, a penny for the mouth, cloves for eyes, and foil for the tail. The joke is the absurdly elaborate New Year good-luck craft and the cute, improvised result. It is shared as a whimsical reaction to bizarre DIY ideas or overly serious holiday traditions.
