I went back to ask for a job where I resigned and the boss said the doors would always be open NOT EVEN WATER

A cat sees a sign forbidding entry, even for water, and looks through a partly open door. The joke applies the boss’s promise that the doors would always be open literally, while the workplace has a strict “not even water” rule, making the return to the old job impossible.
