Distinguishing Black Traffic (always Capitalized in the press) from bot traffic becomes the world's foremost technical problem; spambots start pretending to be black, making it a perpetual arms race; the Valley's greatest minds throw themselves at this project to no avail 8. Online advertising goes bust; Facebook, Google file for bankruptcy 9. Collapse of Google Ads takes all of online "journalism" and "content-creation" with it 10.
