VPN Users Crossing Borders
The Proton VPN servers for Afghanistan running at over 80% load was not something that we expected to see when we set them up last year. Russian with a European VPN Brit with a Russian VPN
A split-panel image shows two people looking out of car windows, labeled as a Russian using a European VPN and a Brit using a Russian VPN. The joke is that geopolitical restrictions and censorship make people use VPNs to appear to be in another country, creating an ironic cross-border exchange. It is shared as a reaction to VPN usage, internet censorship, or unexpected server demand.
