Shinji, go and hit the griddy
What it means

A scene from Neon Genesis Evangelion shows the characters standing in a dark industrial room beneath the caption “Shinji, go and hit the griddy.” The joke combines the serious, dramatic anime setting with the absurd demand that Shinji perform a viral dance, making it useful as a reaction to awkward or ridiculous instructions.
