Courage Saves Muriel

Text on the meme

Courage the cowardly dog when it’s time to face horrors beyond mortal comprehension Courage when its time to save Muriel Just crash out, you twit

What it means

A man in a beanie first hesitates in front of a creepy shrine, then cuts to a computer-game scene and a deadpan message telling him to “crash out.” He finally returns armed with a neon-green improvised weapon, pretending to bravely save Muriel like Courage from Courage the Cowardly Dog; the dramatic escalation is made funnier by Jasiah’s intense song “Crisis,” whose aggressive hip-hop mood turns the silly hallway confrontation into an epic battle. The clip uses exaggerated courage and absurd overreaction as a reaction to facing an intimidating or ridiculous problem.
