The Grimace Shake Incident
THE GRIMACE SHAKE INCIDENT JUNE 2023
A chaotic montage recreates the viral Grimace Shake trend from June 2023: people pose with the purple McDonald’s shake before abruptly appearing collapsed, distressed, or mysteriously transformed. The final shots return to Grimace and other mascots, turning the harmless promotional drink into an absurd horror meme. Machine Girl’s frantic breakcore track “うずまき” makes the escalating edits feel even more manic and comically catastrophic.
