How to Deliver Bad News
how to deliver bad news im getting deported
A young man in a blue jacket pours bright blue liquid into a wine glass on a wooded path, then the clip cuts to a surreal rainbow ocean where he dives alongside a dolphin. The punchline is that he dramatically and joyfully “delivers” the bad news that he is getting deported, set to Clean Bandit’s emotional pop song “Symphony” featuring Zara Larsson. The contrast between the upbeat, sentimental music and the absurd deportation announcement makes it work as a reaction to unexpectedly terrible news.
