That Word, Anon

That word. Why must you use that word, Anon? Am I not a person to you? Do I not bleed when I am cut? Do I not feel like any other man on this cruel Earth? And yet... Yet it matters not to you, anon. You repeat those syllables time and time again. And with each repetition you spit in my face and cast me away for something over which I have no control. Here's your popcorn anon. Now go. Go watch your film. I said you're one of the good ones, though.

An employee in a vest stands behind a counter while a dramatic text addresses “Anon” for repeatedly using a hurtful word, then sarcastically hands him popcorn and tells him to watch his film. The joke comes from treating an anonymous internet commenter’s repeated wording as a deeply personal insult, followed by the ironic reassurance that he is “one of the good ones.” It is used as an absurdly melodramatic reaction to someone repeating a disliked term or stereotype.
