Rei Makes Some Sandwiches
HEY, GUYS, I MADE SOME-!
A small Rei Ayanami figure proudly presents sandwiches, but the middle manga panel shows two characters passionately kissing. In the final panel, Rei stands beside an empty plate while the sandwiches are crushed on the floor, implying that everyone abandoned the food for the unexpected romantic distraction. The meme is used as an absurd reaction to sudden kissing or losing interest in something because of dramatic romance.
