Vampires suck your blood for Vitamin D because they can’t go out in the sun themselves. You ever think about that? No. You only think about yourself.
Count Orlok from Nosferatu reaches toward the sunlight outside a window. The joke pretends that vampires drink blood because they need Vitamin D, then humorously blames humans for being selfish. It is used as an absurd reaction to playful complaints or exaggerated self-pity.
