A 4×4 political compass parody maps Linux distributions from authoritarian to libertarian and labels them with stereotypes about their communities, companies, philosophies, and technical choices. The joke is that ideological categories are applied to operating systems, portraying distributions such as Astra Linux as government-backed and conservative, while others are independent, anti-dogmatic, or isolated. It is shared as a reaction by Linux users making fun of distro tribalism and political-compass memes.
