The Lighthouse Subway Surfers Split Screen
The unique aspect ratio of The Lighthouse (2019) was deliberately chosen so a Subway Surfers video could be viewed beside it and fill the full 16:9 frame
A black-and-white scene from The Lighthouse shows two sailors beside a vertically narrow Subway Surfers gameplay video. The joke is that the film’s unusual aspect ratio supposedly exists to accommodate mobile-game footage alongside it in a widescreen frame, parodying modern attention spans and split-screen viewing.
