Turning Forty Feels Different
POV: you’re 40 Ten years ago you were just 30 and you thought you had time you still do... but it feels different now So you don’t feel the same way college feels like another lifetime you realise no one is coming to save you and strangely... you’re okay with that.
A man approaching forty looks at himself in the mirror, walks by the ocean, fuels his car, listens to music, remembers college, and reflects on becoming responsible for his own life. The joke is a bittersweet realization that adulthood and time feel increasingly different, yet accepting that no one is coming to save you can strangely feel peaceful. The clip is set to Verzache’s “The Loser,” whose mellow indie-pop and ukulele-driven mood makes the introspective montage feel wistful but quietly hopeful.
