How does a cat actually work? It's as if its body is run by six mysterious departments. The first is the little control room in the upper right, where two feline sound engineers adjust pitch and volume to make meows just charming enough to persuade the owner into giving what's wanted. Directly below is the purr engine, operated by a cat turning gears to generate the iconic purring sound. Its carefully tuned frequency makes humans feel safe and comforted. In the center lies the Object Knocking Lab, where four engineers specialize in pushing everyday items off tables. They study how bottles, cosmetics, and other objects fall, testing the angle and sound impact on the owner to achieve maximum effect. At the tail end is the laser chasing department, dedicated to the cat's greatest challenge, catching the red dot. Despite advances in tracking technology, no success has ever been recorded. Next, comes the emergency reaction chamber. No one knows when it triggers. It could be sudden movement or random chance. Once the red button is pressed, the cat instantly switches into fight or flight mode. Finally, there's the most mysterious department of all. Anything that enters it vanishes without a trace. Scientists suspect it may be a portal to another dimension, which might explain why cats always seem so hungry.
