I Hope It’s At Least Funny
Me (young, naive): I hope something good happens Me (now): I hope whatever bad thing happens is at least funny
A two-panel image of Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil, first looking younger and hopeful, then older and grim. The joke is about becoming more cynical with age: instead of expecting good things, the speaker only hopes that inevitable bad events will at least be entertaining. It is used as a reaction to pessimism, burnout, or dark humor.
