Vanguard Turns PCs Into Paperweights

congrats to the owners of a brand new $0k paperweight Game: Valorant AC: Vanguard (VGK) Today's Vanguard anti-cheat update blocked the majority of DMA firmwares using SATA/NVMe. Are you bricking pcs? Fuck cheaters but bricking pcs is fucking vile it throws a hardware fault if you cheat with it, you can just stop cheating and the device will resume normal operation. (that's how IOMMU works when you don't have access to the memory range)

A screenshot shows a post about Valorant's Vanguard anti-cheat allegedly disabling hardware used by cheaters, alongside a photo of dismantled computer parts. The joke is that the anti-cheat turns expensive PCs or components into paperweights, while another reply argues that the hardware fault is temporary and stops when cheating stops. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to aggressive anti-cheat measures and hardware-based bans.
