Windows 11 Apps Waste RAM
The state of popular Windows 11 apps and their RAM management is concerning, especially as RAM prices continue to rise. 1. Discord is always 1GB and even hits up to 4GB 2. WhatsApp is now a web app, not a native app, and RAM usage is frequently 1GB 3. Microsoft Teams, also a web app, uses 1GB+ RAM Is it really that difficult to build native and resources-optimized apps for these companies?
A screenshot of a Windows Latest post criticizes Discord, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams for consuming around 1GB or more of RAM despite some being web-based apps. The attached task-manager screenshots show high memory usage, jokingly framing modern apps as bloated while RAM prices rise.
