Characters So Cooked They Collapse

You know a character is so cooked when they hit this pose

A rapid montage shows characters and people lying flat on their backs in grass, blood, snow, rubble, and dark rooms, all with their arms spread in the same defeated pose. The joke is that a character is truly “cooked”—completely beaten, doomed, or exhausted—when they end up like this, while Badfinger’s melancholic song “Baby Blue” makes the deaths and collapses feel dramatically tragic and darkly funny.
