Day 1 Squad Links Up
POV the Day 1 squad linking up for one last deployment
A dark, cinematic video shows a group of soldiers assembling for one final deployment, while Battlefield game covers gradually appear on their uniforms and faces. The squad grows into a crowd representing players moving through Battlefield releases and other multiplayer shooters, ending in darkness as the era seems to disappear. The joke is a nostalgic farewell to an old gaming squad and the decline or ending of a beloved shooter generation, set to Nick Glennie-Smith’s dramatic orchestral theme “Look Around You.”
