The clip begins with a suited, sunglasses-wearing CIA agent dancing over a polished CIA.gov page listing mission statements such as “Service,” “Integrity,” “Teamwork,” and “Stewardship.” It then cuts to a grim black-and-white muscular figure as Wikipedia pages rapidly expose CIA controversies, including MKUltra, drug experiments, regime change, the hunt for Osama bin Laden, and unethical human experimentation. Set to Skrillex’s dubstep track “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” the escalating beat turns the contrast between the agency’s clean self-image and its disturbing documented history into an absurd, dark reaction meme.
