Developer Existential Crisis
As a developer, sometimes I have this massive existential crisis when I find a bug in an app I barely use on my phone. What? I'm not gonna report it because I barely use it but what if my report has the data the developer needs to finally fix the bug that has been keeping them up at night. And maybe that's what's happening to me as a person. I keep trying to figure out what's wrong with me and how to fix it and all I need is someone to say "hey I noticed this about you, pls fix". But no one does. Jesse what the fuck are you talking about?
A developer discovers a bug in an app they barely use and spirals into an existential crisis about whether reporting it could help the developer fix a long-standing problem. The joke then turns the software bug into a metaphor for personal problems, with Jesse Pinkman reacting in confused disbelief. It is used as a reaction to overthinking, self-diagnosis, or needing someone else to point out what is wrong with you.
