IT Guy Server Power Button
Why are IT guys such dicks? Last week I drove two hours to push the power button on a server that three separate people assured me was already on.
A Twitter exchange shows someone complaining that IT guys are rude, followed by a technician describing a ridiculous service call. The joke is that three people confidently claimed the server was already powered on, yet the technician had to drive two hours to press its power button. It is used as a reaction to incompetence, bad communication, or absurd IT support requests.
